Welcome to Bull I' Th' Thorn Campsite - Your Perfect Family Getaway in the Heart of the Peak District!

Nestled in the breathtaking beauty of the Peak District, the Bull I' Th' Thorn campsite is your ideal destination for a memorable family-friendly camping experience. Situated amidst stunning landscapes and surrounded by nature's wonders, our campsite offers a range of pitches and facilities, that will delight both young and old alike. 

Our campsite is a great base to explore the many attractions the Peak District has to offer, the beautiful spa town of Buxton is only a 10 minute drive away while the historic market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are also within easy reach. The site is located close to the Tissington and High Peak Trails, perfect for cyclists and walkers of all abilities.

Discover our picturesque campsite, offering 32 spacious grass pitches, including 10 with electrical hook-up, perfectly designed to accommodate your family's needs.

Our pitches are suitable for tents, roof top tent boxes and small campervans (up to 5.3m). With a generous size of 8m x 12m per pitch, you'll have ample space to set up camp and conveniently park your vehicle.

Our site facilities include:

3x Unisex Toilets
3x Unisex Showers
2x Family Rooms (Toilet, Shower & Sink)
2x Outdoor Plate Washing Sinks
3x Drinking Water Points (Located around the site)

Our pitches includes 1 unit (tent or small campervan), up to 6 people and 1 car. We do not charge any extra for dogs or awnings (for campervans).

Campsite Rules & Booking

        Campsite Rules

  • Quiet time between 10pm and 9am.
  • Campervans no larger than 5.3m in length and 2m wide (roughly VW size) are only accepted on the site.
  • We do not accept caravans or motorhomes.
  • All our pitches are grass, we do not have any hardstanding pitches.
  • We are a dog friendly site however they must be kept on a lead at all times, not be left unattended and cleaned up after when onsite.
  • Use the bins provided and recycle where possible, to keep our site tidy.
  • All BBQ's and fire pits must be raised off the ground, to avoid any damage to the grass.
  • Fireworks and Chinese Lanterns are prohibited on site.
  • All facilities are free of charge and are cleaned daily with regular checks throughout the day - we ask that you keep these areas clean and tidy after use.
  • Please keep the plate washing areas and drinking water points tidy and be considerate of other campsite guests.
  • All users of the site are responsible for the safekeeping of any personal possessions and the Company will take no liability for the loss and/or damage of them.

                               
        Booking & Cancellation Policy

  • We only allow group bookings of up to 4 pitches to be booked online. For bigger groups, please contact us via email to discuss further.
  • No access is guaranteed to your pitch before 2pm on the day of arrival and guests are asked to vacate their pitch by 11am on the day of departure.
  • If booked more than 28 days in advance, then a 50% non-refundable deposit is taken on booking, with the remaining balance due 28 days prior to arrival. 
  • For any bookings made less than 28 days in advance, full payment is due upon booking.
  • All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Any cancellations made 28 days prior to arrival will not have their deposit refunded but the balance due payment will be cancelled. Any bookings that cancel within 28 days of the arrival date will recieve no refund for the balance paid.
  • Decisions are made at the discretion of Management.
